    Horror and science fiction often cross-pollinate with other genres, usually with themselves, but if there's one genre that's often very tricky to mix them with, it's the western. Sometimes, you strike gold, such as with the western-themed episodes of The Twilight Zone; the Ray Harryhausen cowboys and dinosaurs classic, The Valley of Gwangi; the cult classic, Near Dark; and the wonderfully entertaining Cowboys & Aliens.
